So this is what has been going on. Corr! What a week this has been. Or less than a week, I should say.
Firstly my new single, To See My Lover Again, was released on Friday, but that was planned. The rest was most certainly not. Two days before my release, Spotify informed me that I have 500 followers! The very same day I also hit a landmark milestone of 10,000 streams for my first single, Never Said Goodbye. One day before the new single release, I managed over 100 pre-saves to guarantee its place in people's libraries.
Eventually it was release day - felt like forever! Nerves building, tension mounting, excitement barely containable. And so the new born baby is released to the wild. My mother loved it! Well that's a start - mothers tend to love their grandchildren... But then it turned wonderful. I had so many Instagram story mentions, comments and compliments. It seems to be universally loved! Many told me it was like listening to an unreleased George Michael track, and that I genuinely sound like him. A couple said my voice is similar to Adam Levine from Maroon 5. Some said it could be my best yet. Others put the song on their personal playlists. A few have asked if I do all the production myself, as it is "so professional and impressive" - I do. And one or two told me they have had it on repeat for hours because they just can't get enough of it! Maybe I should work more on satisfying their needs...
Words such as sublime, amazing and phenomenal were popping up all over the place. But today I learnt the latest news: after just four days, To See My Lover Again has hit over 1,000 streams!
I am one happy chappy, and I would just like to thank those of you who have listened and let me know your thoughts and feelings.
