Well HELLO!
Fancy meeting YOU here. As you seem to have stumbled on my front door step, I feel obliged to ask you in and offer you a cup of tea. One lump or two? While the kettle’s boiling, I might as well fill you in on what’s been going on with my current single, Spotlight. A quick catch-up, so to speak.
It has been a tremendous couple of months, if I may say so. Spotlight seems to have been a much needed warm glow in people’s hearts since its release in April. For more about the song and the story behind it, have a look at my previous post.

But what are reviews if no one hears the music? Well… Spotlight has managed to reach close to 40,000 streams on Spotify alone in less than 10 weeks!
This next thing just astounded me. The music community, New Artist Spotlight, has a weekly Top 20 chart which is voted by its members and the show is syndicated to around a dozen radio stations worldwide. It features the most fabulous unsigned artists with their latest releases. In the past 9 weeks, I have not only been voted into the chart each and every week with Spotlight or Europe in the Summertime, but I have had 5 NUMBER ONES with Spotlight! I am truly gobsmacked and honoured.

One of my favourite times in the last couple of months was getting the chance to sit down with fellow artist and New Artist Spotlight member, Plummy, for a podcast interview. Plummy and I got on so well - as we always do - and the whole interview was very fun indeed. I think it’s certainly worth a watch.

THIS, however is the the thing I am most proud of. It involves all of you. Here is a collage of all the praise my little Spotlight song has received. And it truly makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. This is a VERY special feeling. This is what makes me realise that I am doing what I am supposed to be doing. Making music.

Well I couldn’t just end with a full stop (or period, if you are so inclined). I have a brand new single being released on July 8th, featuring Wilko Wilkes. This is my first collaboration, and my 10th original release. A mini milestone for me, and so I thought it might be quite fun to go epic.
